Scouting at Nativity is Going Strong

The youth and families of our Pack and Troop had an eventful summer with many Scouts exploring the outdoors at summer camp. Most Scouts participated in camp activities while other more experienced Scouts navigated a 50 mile canoe trip.

In another adventure, seven Boy Scouts from our Parish found their way to Cimarron New Mexico to test their skills in the mountains of the greatest of Scout camps …Philmont.  They shared an adventure of a lifetime: climbing nine of Philmont’s 12 Mountains including Mt Baldy & the Tooth of time; drinking from streams and sleeping under the stars; and hiking 123 miles on a 10 day trek. A few blisters maybe, but each Scout came home stronger, wiser, more confident and proud. Many of these young men started Scouting as Cubs Scouts with Pack 230. Some earned their Parvuli Dei Religious Emblem and the Arrow of Light award, they advanced into Boy Scouting and are now at the cusp of reaching their Eagle rank.

If your son likes the outdoors and would like to have adventures like these, then look into Scouting.
